Pastor Bio
Pastor Stanley R. Sanders embraced his faith at Fontaine Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, TX, and joined First Baptist Church of Hamilton Park in Richardson, TX, in 1987. He studied at Criswell Biblical College and The J. Lee Foster School of Biblical Studies. An accomplished musician and actor, he has served in various church ministries and is devoted to his wife, Dikiti, two children, and five grandchildren. Since 2012, he has been with Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, becoming Pastor in 2022. Committed to creating a thriving church environment, Pastor Sanders aims to grow a congregation of great people dedicated to community service.
Our History
Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church was organized on January 21, 1993 under the leadership of the Moderator for the Northwestern District Baptist Association.
At Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church in Sherman, Texas, our mission is to foster a welcoming and inclusive community that embodies the love and teachings of Jesus Christ. We are dedicated to spiritual growth, compassionate service, and the empowerment of individuals through faith. By nurturing strong relationships, promoting social justice, and spreading the gospel, we strive to transform lives and make apositive impact in our community and beyond.

We believe the Bible is the inerrant word, inspired by God and that the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are designed for instruction in faith and for conduct. (II Timothy 3:16-17)
We believe in the three person diety - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit - these three are one God. (Genesis 1:26, Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19)
We believe in the virgin birth of the Son of God, Jesus Christ, that He was born of the Virgin Mary (Isaiah 7:14, Luke 1:30-35).
We believe Jesus voluntarily accepted His Father’s will and became the sacrificial lamb that took away the sins of the world. (Romans 3:25-26)
We believe Jesus arose from the dead in the same body, , though glorified, in which He lived and died ( Matthew 28:6-7, John 20:20)
We believe in Salvation by Grace; that through the grace of The Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved. (Acts 15:11)
We believe in “The Believer’s Security,” that acceptance of Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior that you have eternal life. (John 10: 28-29)
We believe in Christ’s Second Coming; there will be coming of the Lord Jesus Christ to receive His own. (John 14:3, I Thessalonians 4:15-17
